Audrey told Da’Vonne that Steve was talking about her, but it was really Clay and Jeff, and Audrey was covering for them.
And then Da’Vonne confronts Steve about it, but VAGUELY, like, he knows she’s mad at him and asking if he said anything about her, but he has NO CLUE what she’s talking about, and he has no one to back him up even if he knew about the situation.
Steve is genuinely upset about it, because everyone seems to hate him and he’s done nothing wrong, he’s just an easy target.
