Now, I'm saying this as a Katy stan who loves a good Gaga drag any-day, but y'all are getting to be too much.
Gaga clearly has valid reasons for her fluctuating weight:
- She is basically a midget, so any weight-gain looks super significant
- She has been taking lupus medicine for the past 4-5 years, which can effect a lot
- She's naturally a curvy girl, which is her body's natural base weight, so being popstar thin is always going to be a struggle
- She's in a committed relationship and no longer needs to fight to get noticed as she did in 2008
..and the most important:
- She admitted to being bulimic during the eras where she "slayyyed" her looks
Now I agree that she wears clothes that are way too tight, but come on guys have a little empathy. This woman is not able to attain her old body without serious physical and emotional commitment.
Honestly the issue is her tone. She needs to lock it down and get that stomach tight and hard, not lose the ass. It would make a world of difference in how the clothes she chooses to wear translate. She would just look better. Because I know people get pissy when anyone says something like this, but sometimes her larger weight fluctuations just naturally make her look messier even when shes styled and polished; and thus peoples perceptions get skewed. Thats just my opinion and I know its harsh and insensitive but its the cold truth.
I guess when you have had one of the biggest peaks in history, and some of the best selling albums of the decade, then people are going to criticise you no matter what
Because for a pop star who relies on her appearance, it is not a cute look.
Cold but true. Lana is going through the same thing right now imo. Shes looking haggard, lazy, and bunk. A far cry from her beauty within the BTD/Paradise eras.
I love Gaga, but her beach pictures never turn out well
Her weight looks fine though and she looks better with a little weight on her in my opinion. There really shouldn't be anybody saying anything negative about her weight.
She also is/was an extremely visual artist, people used to literally talk about how she looked, she made it her thing. And it obviously wasn't just the wacky clothes, but the entire look, including body.
Everyone gets dragged for their weight but in her case its even worse because her face is already the worst so I guess people expect her to at least have a good body.
I think she shouldn't care but seems like she's a very insecure girl.
I don't mean to be shady when I say this because I have love and respect for Gaga, but if Nicki can lose the weight, then so can Gaga. Both Nicki and Gaga are the same height, and both have big appetites. But in the picture below, look at Nicki's body transformation from March 2012 to May 2014. I don't know how Nicki did it, but if Nicki can do it, then I'm sure Gaga is capable of losing the weight.
And Gaga relies heavily on her body and appearance, so being big isn't a look that a person who relies heavily on her body and appearance should aim for.
