Tim Cook can make much more financially affecting decisions on a whim than this.

Tim Cook has much more things to worry about like the new iPhone, New MacBooks, new iOS, ect., no shade, Apple are marketing genuineness, hense why they have better promotion than Samsung even though Samsung is always sponsering

Everything you've presented has only been hearsay, so what are you even on about? Sit down.
Taylor's power.

Yeah no, believe it or not Tim Cook isn't the one making ALL the decisions. Apple as a whole can deny any idea of his if they so please. Not to mention the negotiations with all the major and indie labels take days and even weeks

Do you think they already have the "1989 on Apple Music" ads ready? They probably do.

As far as interviews.....PR works FAST in stuff like this, they have to. It's not uncommon for them to have done a quick website interview about it.

How are they going to obey her like they are much but much bigger than her. lol

XL is a major independent record label. Hell, even Taylor is technically on an independent record label.
There were literally dozens of articles and statements from different independent artists and executives from independent labels in the past 7 days complaining.

As if Tim Cook wasn't aware, on board, and almost certainly behind the original plan to not pay for the three months. As if Tim Cook, the head of a multi-billion dollar company, or whoever was behind the plan, again a member of a multi-billion dollar company, was so weak in his initial business plan that Taylor's cute essay that said nothing new, insightful, or revolutionary caused him to change his mind, roll out a completely different plan, and conduct multiple interviews to tell the world within hours.

XL was one of the labels that were apparently not going to join

Apple Music may not be as comprehensive as many hope, at least during the three-month trial period, out of which XL Recordings and Domino, two British record labels, are backing out.

Still they were "mad" at apple music for the free 3 month trial, it was on the blogs/news before taylor came to say it.

It's not like on a Sunday they made a landmark, multi-billion dollar decision. Though yes, Tim Cook has the power to do that as well.
|
Not for Apple as a whole.
But for their streaming branch it means that their balance sheet in the first year is minus 150 million when they assumed like minus 50 millions.

Assuming major parties had already agreed to the initial deal, I'm pretty sure they'd all agree to the renewed terms lol

You can't assume that they need to renegotiate something that has already been negotiated. All that needs to be updated is the three-month clause that royalties are to be paid. This can be done electronically quite easily.
|
and they still need to go through Apple's lawyers, the lawyers of all the major and indie labels, approved/negotiated and etc. This is a major change and would be illegal for them to just add in on a whim, many many many people need to look over the changes and discuss accordingly. None of which can be done in less than a day
