No. I would never do that. I judge myself based on myself, not based on others. Being in the lower half of the rankings is a "flop" for me and that's just a statistical fact. The fact that I felt good about this one and it was more personal makes it harder, sure.
But no, there's nobody here to blame but myself. You're a judge and you have to judge how my entry stacks up compared to the others. I'm not insinuating that you lowered my score just to humble me. But I definitely feel like my song could be perceived as off-putting and I'm sure that this did affect my score.
