But the whole point is that Alicia sold more, won more Grammys and still has singles success, it's not just because she got more acclaim than Usher.
And acclaim does matter, it always has and it always will. Scoring a 90+ on MC is a feat regardless of whether you think so or not. Success doesn't always have to come with monetary value.
