Well if one is more successful in more aspects than the other why couldn't it then be assumed that they are more successful.
Alicia has sold more albums during the 2000s
Usher the bigger hits worldwide
Alicia the more acclaim
So how didn't Alicia do better?

Acclaim doesn't measure success, what don't you get?
You're not counting hits and album success combined. You're counting them independently which is stupid. Hits and album success combined, Usher wins.
With your logic, Gaga is better than Katy this decade because she sold more albums and had more acclaim. Fearless was bigger than Good Girl Gone Bad because it sold more albums, and had more acclaim versus GGGB 'just having hits'.
When you combine hits and album sales, Katy comes atop, and GGGB > Fearless. Which is why your way is completely foolish. Seeing as you stan for a woman who's had most of her career empty in terms of acclaim and has never had stunning album sales, idk why you tried that method against hits.

R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart was based off R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. R&B/Hip-Hop Albums was based off the top selling albums in R&B/Hip-Hop CD Stores in 2000's. Both completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of determining a bigger artist overall.
Usher was bigger in the US in 00's overall, as he landed higher on the overall artist, overall radio artists, overall Hot 100 Artists, and sold more albums.

And Alicia Keys was bigger in the R&B/HipHop world. I wasn't debating who was bigger mainstream. Alicia was the top dog in R&B.

But acclaim is success
Being praised by critics and winning prestigious accolades is certainly a form of success and I'm looking at the different aspects together; when you combine all of them, Alicia did have more success in the 2000s.
EDIT: What do you mean Rih doesn't have acclaim?
And LOUD is one of the best selling albums this decade too

R&B/Hip-Hop was the Mainstream world then but okay. & d; you weren't bringing up 'the R&B/Hip-Hop World' when you were talking about Girl On Fire & EOF outdoing L4M & RVR in album sales, despite Usher having much bigger hits in the R&B/Hip-Hop world. The tables turning.

How is acclaim success? Is it putting money in someone's pockets or making the public know your work? Acclaim is a nice addition to sales success, but it shouldn't ever be considered the same level. Winning a GRAMMY isn't like getting a #1 hit, and I'm sure you'd agree to this with Beyonce as a Rihanna stan.

Oh Beyonce had help getting her Grammys so she doesn't count in this.
And I can't at you acting like getting accolades isn't a form of success
That's recognition and praise from the industry, it's like claiming winning an Oscar isn't success
