I'm sorry but I don't see Charlize Theron as Libby Day. Physically, she's not minuscule like Libby. Libby is described as being 4'11". I love this character for many reasons, but being able to identify with a character that's short as I am made me love her even more. Libby is a depressed, angry, shelled up with deep low self-esteem woman who's just drifting in life, surviving day after day because she's unlucky enough to be too healthy and won't die of some disease any time soon. And she doesn't have the guts to off herself, either. So she just keeps breathing. I don't see any of that being portrayed in this trailer. Hope throughout the film that changes, though. Also, Libby's hair is supposed to be platinum blond with the red roots making their way out, not just blonde!!

Like I said, I don't watch many movies and don't know much of current actresses. Just because I don't see Charlize Theron as Libby Day doesn't mean I have another actress in my mind to act her role. The woman I created in my imagination while reading the novel is the only woman that fits. But I don't know, maybe Jennifer Lawrence.
It is impressive that Meryl Streep has peaked, career wise, in her late 50s/early 60s. Her highest grossing movies are all from that time period. She's a true box office draw.
I love the whites, but this is just too Caucasian for me, and not in a good way
like "Something's Gotta Give." Going to pass on this, Meryl. Stop singing.
P.S. Someone shoot Diablo Cody in the face for convincing Meryl Streep to do this.
