I was curious so I went through my top 40 songs of the year so far and wrote down the key of all of them to see if there were any I was more favorable towards. I only had songs in major or minor keys and I combined relative keys. Here are my results:
Abmaj/Fmin: 4 songs, 10%
Amaj/F#min: 0 songs, 0%

Shocked
Bbmaj/Gmin: 2 songs, 5%
Bmaj/Abmin: 3 songs, 7.5%
Cmaj/Amin: 6 songs, 15%
Dbmaj/Bbmin: 2 songs, 5%
Dmaj/Bmin: 4 songs, 10%
Ebmaj/Cmin: 9 songs, 22.5%
Emaj/C#min: 4 songs, 10%
Fmaj/Dmin: 4 songs, 10%
Gbmaj/Ebmin: 2 songs, 5%
Gmaj/Emin: 0 songs, 0%

Again, shocked
I don't know if this really proves anything though, despite how it totally looks like it does. The keys that had the most songs were all common keys. Plus this is essentially a random swath of songs I like, the results might be very different if I did my top 40 from last year. As for the two keys with no songs, both of which are super common, I have no explanation lol.
I wonder what it would be like to make a playlist just with songs of the same key!
