Ugh just the other day I PM'd someone why BS is better than TD and now I can't find/paste it here.
BS is better because in addition to poking fun at her own persona (which doesn't make or break the song but is a nice touch), Tayload is active in it. Katie is passive in TD. Thematically they're both similar (someone is feeling the rush of young love) but in BS 'Load is the one in the driver's seat. She takes the guy and the listener on a roller coaster ride.
Katie: my heart stops when you look at me
'Load: you can tell me when it's over if the high was worth the pain
Not to mention 'Load is smart enough to know how fleeting it's all probably to be (it going down in flames). Plus the lyrics in BS are just overall better (none of that Ke$haesque "let's dance until we die").
'Load wins this round.
