I actually wouldn't rule out Kesha having mainstream success again, if she worked with the right names and marketed herself the right way. These days being a big name doesn't mean anything for your success anymore, just look at Rihanna's latest releases, same goes with Britney, Madge heck even Katy's last few singles flopped. Kesha really needs to make herself relevant again and in order to do that she needs to make herself 'cool and likeable'. In the last few years there has been a surge of success for underground artists, particularly in the RnB genre as people are always looking to find the next best thing before its successful. If Kesha wants to achieve revelance again she needs to work with artists such as Diplo, Childish Gambino, Cashmere Cat, The Weeknd etc... I know its basically using someone elses success but in order for her to have any success this era (whenever it may come) she needs to start by jumping on the names of some of the hottest producers, artists, djs at the moment and establish herself as a hip and cool artists that the 'indie kids' and 'hippies' want to listen to.

Kesha needs to serve a The Veronicas comeback tea to grasp success again. The Veronicas were predominately known for their upbeat songs, 6-8 of them went top ten. But many years later, they cameback and shocked Australia with a slow and sad ballad which debuted at #1.

No. From what I understand, it was recorded before she got in the studio with Luke, back when her sophomore record was tentatively titled 'Spandex On The Distant Horizon' (most likely a joke, but the best way to refer to that scrapped album). When she caught up with Luke, he scrapped everything she had, including all of the stuff with Wayne (except Past Lives which was restricted to the deluxe edition).

LIPSHA was an afterthought because Kesha and Wayne were proud of the material that they had made together and wanted to release it anyway even if Luke wouldn't let her have it for her sophomore record. So yes, while You Control My Heart is technically a LIPSHA track, it was originally meant to be for Kesha's second album, and is her song.
