OMG but you did not lie. Brooklyn Nights definitely should have been the lead single for Artpop and it definitely would have gone #1 for twenty-five weeks.
"Dope" debuted at number 60 on the US Hot Digital Songs chart with 31,000 downloads for the issue dated November 23, 2013. The low sales of "Dope" were due to iTunes Store's "Complete My Album" program, where the customers have the option of buying the full album and hence earlier song purchases are deducted from the song's current week's total.(...) The next week, "Dope" tumbled down the Hot 100 to number 71.[38]
Poor Speechless! Without iTunes Store's "Complete My Album", Dope would have sold 100k - 110k with only one performance VS 197k with like 5 performances, coming from a massive era, etc, etc.
Brown Eyes got like 1 performance. The true winner here
