And yes, I agree. I don't believe people should be condemned when she was doing good things!

However why she posed as black is very questionable! The only way I could explain her actions is because of her white entitlement. She knew that being black would give her a bigger voice in the group.

Because transitioning from white to another race always means that you are ignoring the injustices perpetrated by your ancestors and your heritage (which cannot be disputed).

This isn't always the case with transitioning from male to female and vice-versa. Yes, men have oppressed females but it has not always been intentional the way it has always been between white people and POCs.

...I said it has not always been intentional oppression. Like, you do know centuries ago it's unlikely the majority of women were specifically looking to be paid the same amount as men? The oppression of women was borne out of men attempting to pigeonhole women into ideals they held for women. It didn't start off as a means of enslaving, tormenting and dehumanizing women the way it started for POCs.

Not once in my post did I say women were not oppressed, do NOT twist my words. Yes, women have always been oppressed. No, it wasn't always intentional the way it has always been with POCs.

There in lies the rub. Gender was NOT intentionally created as a social construct to oppress women. Race was intentionally created to oppress POCs.

People comparing this to transgenderism are seriously deluded. There are physiological differences between a cis-man and a trans-woman. Yes, gender roles are social contructs, however gender is not a social construct. There is some difference between male and female behaviour and thinking.

How can a white woman feel like she's black when there is no difference between how black and white women feel? Black women feel like women, white women feel like women, so can someone explain to me what the difference is.... other than their experiences. Which brings me to her utter lack of respect and decency. She has no clue what it's like to BE black. What is her black experience? She's still using her whiteness to get ahead and steal jobs from minority women
