@1:07 the way she can't hit the notes and has the 5 backup singers filling in for her
@1:17 when she finally tries to hit it and fails
@3:05 the struggle to push those notes out
whew at least she had her looks
Lemme chill though, My All is probably her hardest single, if not song, to sing live.
Most people just can't pull it off. I guess it's just disappointing because her vocals on the Butterfly album were SO good but the live performances just did not match up at all. At least with her later eras, bad live vocals corresponded to bad studio vocals too.
Y'all overprocess. She still sounds good in those performances, and the average person who was watching unaware of most of her live performing would think it was great.
Latch, I always said Beyoncé should release acapella editions of all of her albums.
Her songs sound even better without the music
Her and Brittany are like the complete opposite. I won't even lie...some of Britney's instrumentals are a lot better alone as opposed to having her vocals on them.

It's better than anything she's serving now, but the dissonance between her Butterfly era live performances and the studio vocals is clear and heartbreaking. That's when she lost the effortless quality to her singing that I loved.
