So? And this is what I mean, by blacks not believing they can exist without whites. Maybe you should stop being so concerned with claiming American/white validation and focus on your own community like Asians did. I understand Asians are not half as persecuted but technically blacks had more freedom than they've ever had, and I don't think that has been exploited enough...
Integration has been the goal since the civil rights era but y'all forgotten about black wall street, where black people thrived with even less rights because they were concerned with their own and their own only. But nowadays black people get money and they put it straight into white hands (BY CHOICE). That's one thing you can change about your culture for sure. And you will see improvements!

Ok. I'm not trying to make you upset so cool it. Let's have a civil discussion if not for your understanding, than for mine.

I believe it does matter. The fact that African Americans can only ever see themselves as a minority is quite significant. You may agree to disagree. I'm not saying you have no culture, you misunderstood me entirely. I thought what you bolded was quite straight forward. You're culture, will always be seen in relation to the dominant culture, and your existence will always be seen in relation to the dominant race, white people. Hence why you identify as "minorities" while whites never have to identify as "majorities", because as far as they are concerned, you have no bearing on their existence. And on that premise I believe blacks internalise a strong sense of subordinacy to whites that needs to be overcome if progress is to be made. I hope I made that clear.
