That was a fake rumor, and there's plenty of artists selling less albums and singles endorsing Apple Music and TIDAL. You're acting as if Keri Hilson announced she was working with them
i mean.. where do you see 30 million on artpop? 95% of it is dj whiteshadow who probably costs paper clips and 2 pieces of gum. If artpop was an entire dr luke/max martin album that sold like 200k (warrior) then id see their point.

Yeah, but Tidal's artist have more of the pulling artist that will keep you interested and people that actually going to have discussions about. Gaga once was one of those people and then she dragged the crtics and you know...
Calvin Harris and Usher (still bae) have more of a following from the public and 'keep you pulling' than Lady Gaga?
Luv Bey, but Apple Music is SET. Even in the worst case scenario they'll still be doing much better than TIDAL. I mean the fact it's a 3 month free trial attached for EVERYONE, and it's automatically on everyone's iPhones.

TIDAL never had a chance.
Well most of the people on Tidal are.
But, Apple is doing everything Tidal is doing. The only thing is that they watched everything Tidal did at the press conference and did the opposite. I mean... Drake, Pharrell, Gaga, The Weekend ???

Apple failed with the radio and U2's mess.
Apple has always had stars endorsing with the music though. When they launched iTunes Radio, they had celebrities do iTunes DJing. BEYONCE did the iTunes Release herself.
Other than celebs at a press conference they do everytime they announce a new iOS or iPhone / announcing celebs endorsing it they haven't really done anything similar to TIDAL.
They damn sure weren't having every celebrity in Hollywood blue-out their social media pages and hype it quietly like they were gonna surprise drop a cure to cancer.

You know, it's a sad day when Britney's new single (released a little over a month ago) gets fewer streams a week than Beyoncé's Urban-Only release 7/11.
In the last month, 7/11 gained ~12M in streams whereas PG only managed ~8M.

I mean but how you go from "BEYONCÉ" to U2 after a few months. Apple doesn't have the pull without the right people.
Apple music is going to big because Apple is a bigger platform. But, in terms to get people talking enough ? I mean yeah Drake but he's not a Kanye or Jay .
Tidal just added a student disconnect and they even announced a 3 month package a few weeks ago.
