I'm surprised they didn't save Dany's scene for next week. I guess last week was Jon's big scene, this week is Dany's big scene, and next week is Cersei's big scene.
I just wanna know if they're gonna show the damn Tyrells again. I'm not here for Marg and Loras sitting in limbo until the next season starts.
Pretty useless episode. No appearances by Future Queen of the Seven Kingdoms Sansa Stark or Queen (Mother) Cersei.
A mediocrely CGI'ed dragon and a typically blank performance by the dragon mother was the highlight?
And the Arya scene was very exposition/setup-y. Just like...all her scenes this season have felt.

I agree about Arya. I don't think she'll kill KL (why would she want to?), but she might snatch a guard or two... Unless they catch her and drag her back to Westeros so she can cause so chaos?
I think they were rooting for the "Meereenese" fighters because the audience was filled with ex-masters and ex-slaves. It's almost like in the world cup, most people will always root for your country of origin no matter what. It had nothing to do with Dany...

She's definitely doing something in the finale.
Though...have you not read the Book 6 preview Arya chapter? That's where the scene's totally gonna come from.

I was so afraid of Arya for a second, Meryn Trant....though next week...
The Danny scene was entertaining, this is what you want from Game of Thrones though they should not focus so much on Dany's face... give her a wide shot or something. Dario slaying as always though freaking Jorah.... that spear launch...
Tyrion is always in near danger yet gets off so easily by stupid reasons, his joking, the directors just sweeping it under the rug. He would have been killed when the slavers got him, and again in the pit... like really he just stood there? Ugh enough of this, off with his head.

No... I've only read a Sansa one that was posted right before the season started.
I just read the
Theon
sample chapter from TWOW because I knew it had Stannis in it and I thought maybe there would be something in it that foreshadows
him ordering for Shireen to be killed
. Yet in the chapter, he specifically says that
he wants his men to help Shireen get the Iron Throne if he dies I know that GRRM told D&D to do this, but I really doubt that he said that Stannis should be the one to do it. He's so careful that all of his characters' actions match their development, and I doubt he'd want D&D to go completely against something like that. Unless of course GRRM is gonna have Stannis change his mind by the end of TWOW, but that would be pretty uncharacteristic of his writing.
Oh, that one was boring. Not befitting the One True Queen of the show and the books.
Though the horror of Sansa's storyline this season isn't what I wanted either.
I would have loved if GRRM would have written that storyline for Sansa, read it through his words as it does fit her character better as opposed to just staying in the Vale.

Except it's horrible and I don't want to hear about how repeated rapes and beatings "fit her character." Plus logistically it makes both Sansa and Baelish look super dumb.
