I wasn't even shading you btw. I mean, if I was in your position I would have done the exact same thing. Trying your best to keep the interesting twist you had in the game intact is nothing to be ashamed of, especially when you can work within the game's rules to do so. Honestly, no. This shouldn't make a difference. PH is the most successful tournament in ATRL history and 90% of the contestants don't have "star power". I know I'm not one of your Power 100 members but I don't really care about that, I'm just one player. The problem with this season was people who signed up and couldn't handle things when it didn't go in their favour.

I worked hard to get where I am, both in challenges and in the strategic game. That goes for everyone in the final four right now. I was never reliant on my ~star power~ for people to save me or my past history in the game. Did I know more than one person prior to signing up for Big Brother? No. Did I let that stop me? Hell no, I made new connections and formed new alliances.

I was hardly online for the first round and that was noticed and I was put up for eviction because of it. So my lack of star power certainly doesn't have anything to do with why the thread has been moving so slow all season. There were plenty of ATRL gaming regulars in Kitt, Golden, dwuw, Superiore, X/O/X/O, Bey_Rih, keshaspears, Slayley etc. but unfortunately none of them were able to use their "star power" to their advantage and actually make it where it actually matters; the end.

I honestly never knew Jack, Subomie or Guero before Big Brother so I can't comment on their ATRL relevance or presence in the Games section. But I think it's pretty funny when four seemingly non-powerful players make it to the end with good strategies and fair play and zero intentions of quitting even when it seemed like the odds were against us, and never had to rely on our ATRL relevance.

We didn't PM people to come join and we have a stricter application process and fewer actual places in the Game. BB is a strategic game, with that comes drama, sadly some people weren't cut out for that. This is a cut-throat game that people want to win, as it's one of the most prestigious titles in the section tbh (due to it's longevity). People didn't wanna look weak by getting evicted, it was either win or "leave on their own terms" I guess.

It was still fun and 11 seasons in we're still bringing the drama. Plus, 350 pages is still more than practically every other BB season (before I hosted). Back in 2011-2013, one or two hundred pages was considered a huge success for a game. It's only in 2014-2015 that ATRL has become sort of obsessed with post counts (just check the most addicted chart etc) and people are post whoring a lot more. BB already snatched the biggest game of all time title before, so there's not much left to prove. This season was mainly more about quality and fun, well, that was the aim before it descended into chaos.

Matty has always been a firm believer in bringing fresh blood into Games and I kind of echo that sentiment which is why people often get annoyed with my choices for BB. But honestly I think it's fun to throw in some wildcards and new people so they get chance to experience playing Games here. For some, it's their first ever Game on ATRL. Everyone needs to be given a chance and start somewhere. Sometimes it doesn't work out and the post count may flop, but it's no big deal. If it's getting people interested in Games then i'm happy tbh.

But yeah, that's my thoughts on members with star power or whatever, I mean it's great and all, but it's much more interesting to throw those big-named members in with some unknown members and watch fireworks happen, then to see the same big-named members in every game.

And how do you know if a new player is going to become a "big name" unless you give them a go? I think your casting method was fair and was definitely not a fault at all. I'm glad people who submitted half-arsed applications thinking that they'd get through on their name alone didn't get in.

But honestly, this season has just followed the trajectory of a true fairytale. It started off all happy and sweet, with the potential for something to go wrong. Then, about half way through things started happening. Photoshop was being questioned, people started quitting, wolves were exposed, alliances crumbled etc. that was when the chaos began. The darkness. The evil. But, as we all know, evil NEVER wins. Now it's time to take it back and give this fairytale a happy ending.

I'm throwing a bone out here, but question - are the rules to this game loser = immediate 4th place? Or will there be a ruler this round who'll ultimately decide? Or can you not tell? Regardless I don't see it for me this round, but might as well ask.
