Why am I just getting into Satellites and That's Why You're Beautiful...
Guess it's because I wasn't really here for her I Am...Sasha Fierce era.
Satellites is gross. But Thats Why You're Beautiful is so beautiful! The first time I heard it I instantly fell in love. It was one of my songs of the summer 2 years ago.
Deja Vu
End of Time
Run The World
Countdown
Standing on The Sun
Grown Woman
What is it about funk-afrobeat-dancehall-yoncé that's so perfect?
Can she please please please release an album that's full of african and dancehall themed music?
This world album talk I literally just bought this up in the NA appreciation thread.
I would kill for a world sound album with hard beats and guitars and real instruments ala B'Day. Honestly if she could pull out something as good as Countdown meets Freakum Dress for her next lead (if she does a lead, which I think she will, I think she'll pull a dual lead single again) I would never complain about anything she does or doesn't do again.

That would slay, but i'd just love a few West African influenced songs. She has the voice for it if she learned the style, she would slay.
What I really really love about West African music, whether it's Senegalese, Malian or Nigerian is that a lot of times the songs starts slow or midtempo and then in the second half it starts going faster and faster.
Some examples
Maestro and African icon Youssou N'Dour (Senegal)
Queen Viviane (Senegal
Legend Toumani Diabate (Mali)
Tapha Niang is the most amazing song of all time Bey needs to do something like that.
Beyonce needs an album that will start a trend MUSICALLY. By that I mean production wise. She changed the game with releases but I want her to start a trend MUSICALLY. She just needs that ONE album. Prince did it, Michael did it. I wouldn't doubt if Beyonce can do it either. She just needs to top notch producers (like always) to come up with a masterpiece. Or maybe she can popularize the afrobeat rhythms and such and make it become huge here in the U.S. OOOOOHHHHH GIIRRRLLLL I cha already see me bopping!
That's Why You're Beautiful is one her best songs....
I honestly think that IASF was such a let down coming from B'Day. I feel as though her only good songs from that album got lost with everything else. I wasn't here for the whole black and white thing and I feel as though she was moving away from the great R&B that DIL and B'Day gave.
Ch...no one pushed for SL when we first heard it. I almost threw in my stan card. The video made that song and the Hive fell for it the same time as the GP.
The GP also loved CIL and BB the first time they were heard too. The only song that the Hive pushed for that the GP rejected was RTW. And now everyone seems to love it.
Yasss I remeber the meltdowns when Single Ladies leaked, calling the song crap, saying it sounded like a 3 year old made the beat with a nintendo, the mass fleeing of the hive.
October 2008 was a mess.
Then suddenly there was a teaser of the video that was up on youtube and everyone shut up.
idk but I never disliked a Bey bridge except DADDY. Beyoncé is bridge, bridge is Beyoncé; I can't think of another singer that execute them better than her....
I love the IRREPLACEABLE one so much I can loop it over and over again
PRETTY HURTS' is her best with I CARE's
RATHER DOE YOUNG is the second best bridge on 4. dont play with ha
