Wasn't the concept more about 'It-Girls'. With the obvious exception of Taylor, these were the most talked about/buzzed about girls from last year and they're each either on their debut or their sophomore.

The THIS WAS rates go by Pazz & Jop (the most venerated and useful year-end aggregate.) 1989 was the third most acclaimed female album of 2014 on it, Ultraviolence was somewhere around seven/eight.

Speaking of ... a song that played in this year's BEST OF THE BEST will be my number eleven.
