I hold no grudges against anyone who has talked about their eliminations being certain in rounds. I probably shouldn't have used the word "annoy" but I just really wish that people who did this consistently could understand it's a little inappropriate especially if they end up placing really high over other people who were talking about how proud they were of their songs.

Another thing, it's really hard to predict how judges will react to songs. I've told people that their song was so good that it would get top 5 and they've ended up flopping. That's another aspect, the unpredictability (?) of the whole thing.

Well, I'm the kind of person who struggles to admit they're good at something in real life, never mind something as personal as songwriting. So even if I have people telling me something of mine is good, I won't believe it at all for the longest time. I'll put on a front of either "I'm better than you" or "I'm the worst one here". We do have a sense of community, but, as Tymps. said, there's a difference between feeling anxious and insecure and flat out saying you WANT to be eliminated because your heart isn't in it and you have bigger fish to fry. I'm not even remotely mad at you, mostly just surprised and a little worried.

That was mainly due to the fact I put so much time and energy into this, and also the fact I submitted a rap song this week.
