It just feels like her pretending to be a 'bad bitch' pop star instead of actually being one. If you compare it to the "Toxic" video (the obvious blueprint, also by the same director) it's painfully apparent...Britney OWNS that role whereas Taylor looks like a suburban white girl playing dress up. I feel like if they had made the super spy thing a make believe scenario it would have worked better...like, if the clip started out with Taylor as a regular girl finding out that her friend slept with her ex boyfriend, and then she imagines this whole scenario where she gets revenge on her.

Why does it have to be super believable though?

why can't it just be a fun video where Taylor plays a "bad-ass" character even if its different from her personality? If anything it just adds humour to the video, I don't think we're meant to take her super seriously in it
