What do y'all think of Bobby Jindal as a running mate to a more moderate Republican candidate? He wouldn't make president but as running mate he could help get some of the conservative Christian voters while also appealing to various minority groups.

Please no. He's awful. He's completely lost support from moderates (who helped push him into the Governor's seat) in his home state after his marriage order and cutting spending for the arts.

Rick Santorum, the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania who was the runner-up for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, is expected to announce his plans about a second try for the White House on Wednesday as he works to broaden his appeal beyond his hardline stance on social issues. Santorum, 57, positioned himself in 2012 as the champion of voters opposed to abortion rights and gay marriage. This year, he's emphasized his eight years on the Senate Armed Services Committee and foreign policy with the rise of the Islamic State. He's also touting a message of inclusion. “We are not going be successful unless we have a message that talks to the people who are struggling to rise,” Santorum said May 21 at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma. Six candidates already have declared, while former New York Governor George Pataki, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and former Texas Governor Rick Perry could announce bids in the coming days. Others, including former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, are also preparing for the race.

Rick was the runner-up for the 2012 Presidential Nomination which is difficult to fathom nowadays but can't be overlooked.

That being said the notorious social conservative won't get nearly as far this time. Expect a rude awakening for Rick.

BALTIMORE — In another campaign year, Martin O’Malley’s résumé and good looks might be irresistible to Democratic primary voters. He is a former big-city mayor whose story of renewal in Baltimore seemed well tailored to an increasingly urban and minority party. He is a former two-term governor of Maryland — and the lead singer and guitarist in a rock ’n’ roll band.

But Mr. O’Malley is running in an election cycle in which Democratic elected officials and donors have overwhelmingly focused attention on Hillary Rodham Clinton. And he already faces competition from Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont for the support of liberals who dislike Mrs. Clinton or merely want to see her pushed further to the left.

After a two-year exploratory phase, Mr. O’Malley, 52, on Saturday began to make a case for why Democrats should bet on him instead of on Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Sanders. His argument was both economic and, in a clear contrast with his significantly older Democratic rivals, generational.

“Today, the American dream seems for so many of us to be hanging by a thread,” he said, announcing his candidacy before hundreds of supporters under a baking sun in Federal Hill Park in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, with the towers of the city’s downtown behind him. [...]

Yet he took a sharp shot at her in his speech on Saturday, an apparent signal of things to come as he seizes on the anti-Wall Street sentiment among economic progressives and the notion of political dynasties.

“Recently the C.E.O. of Goldman Sachs let his employees know that he’d be just fine with either Bush or Clinton,” Mr. O’Malley said, referring to Jeb Bush, a likely Republican candidate, and Mrs. Clinton. “I bet he would!” [...]

He went on to win two terms as governor of Maryland. His star still rising, he was often described as a results-oriented policy expert, who signed into law bills allowing same-sex marriage and raising the minimum wage.

But he also presided over a disastrous rollout of a health care exchange under the Affordable Care Act. And his legacy as mayor and then governor was called into question only last month when an unarmed black man, Freddie Gray, died of injuries sustained while he was in police custody here, sparking days of unrest. The enormous problem for Martin that will haunt his campaign is exactly as I predicted back in January: Baltimore.

This is evidenced by the protests that greeted him and the immediate barrage of criticism post-riots from the press.

What he could possibly do to recover from that to pretend to challenge Hilary is anyone's guess.

iCarly is starting to pick up some press and some points with some recent media smack downs but the best two are seth meyers and Chuck Todd when they brought up the fact someone purchased CarlyFiorina.Org and placed frown faces for every person she laid off as CEO. Almost all tech companies were firing people during the .com bust.

Then she tell Seth she bought SethMeyers.org (Points to Carly for President.) in the green room and how cheap it was.

Then she strikes again when Chuck Todd pulled the same move on her on Meet the Press.

I think it's funny that these two didn't even have their own domains secured before attacking someone for not having their domain secured.

Then she had a good interview with Andrea Mitchell where I think she more then held her own and punched back pretty hard.

I am going to move her out of the category of no way in hell to possible one of the top 10 for the first Fox debate. Her strategy is smart right now, she is shadowing Hillary, going to the reporters and saying at least there is one candidate here willing to answer questions and getting a lot of coverage. It's not just the coverage she is actually handling the questions.

Martin O'Malley is better than Hillary Clinton. Here's why.

There's a myth among Hillary Clinton supporters that decades of experience has made the former secretary of state the most pragmatic choice for president in 2016. And like most fairy tales, it conveniently glosses over the heroine's flaws: her 31,000-plus missing emails (the subject of a lawsuit by the Associated Press), questions about foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation, and direct donations to Ms. Clinton from big banks, including Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan.

But there is an alternative. Rather than rallying around someone who can't seem to elude perpetual media scrutiny, the person all Democrats should pay close attention to is former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley who is poised to officially join the race Saturday. The former Baltimore mayor and two-term governor offers a genuine alternative to the status quo within Washington and a real threat to any GOP challenger — especially Jeb Bush.

Mr. O'Malley, unlike Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush, isn't linked to perpetual scandal and criticism, nor is he beholden to foreign donors, investment banks or a family surname. He rightfully stated that the presidency isn't "some crown to be passed between two families" and compared to Ms. Clinton, Mr. O'Malley offers a genuinely progressive outlook on American politics. When both candidates are analyzed, it's apparent that one caters to poll-driven centrism while the other is far more confident in a progressive vision for America.

While Ms. Clinton voted for the invasion of Iraq, Mr. O'Malley has been a longtime critic of the Iraq War. As governor, Mr. O'Malley sponsored and signed a same-sex marriage bill when Hillary Clinton was overtly against gay marriage. He also signed a marijuana decriminalization bill, while Ms. Clinton has said she was against the decriminalization of marijuana. Martin O'Malley wants to bring back Glass-Steagall, called the Trans-Pacific Partnership a "bad trade deal," and urged the Senate in 2014 to reject the Keystone XL pipeline. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, once referred to TPP as "the gold standard in trade agreements," and she still hasn't taken a stance on the Keystone XL pipeline.

Martin is a good guy much like Bernie actually but we don't need someone that is going to be unwilling to lay the hammer down on ISIS or get tough with China when the time comes.

Incase you didn't know China is build islands, yes building and we have now detected artillery on them. These islands are being built in the South China Sea within striking range of an island claimed by Vietnam and shipping lanes.

* Let Section 215 die
* Do NOT pass the USA Freedom Act or any compromise bill
* Repeal ALL of the Patriot Act!
I'll be watching your actions closely, because the "USA Freedom Act," legislation passed by the House within the last two weeks, simply transfers the collection of the information from the NSA to another party, where it can then be collected by the NSA. This gives American citizens no additional privacy protections at all.
For all of the above reasons, I demand you vote against any attempts to renew Section 215 of the Patriot Act today!
