Of course not, you would need good promo, marketing & possibly a viral video (nowadays) on top of that to make a song smash. I was talking about the basics of having a well-received (by all demographics) pop song in general, which, bundled with the factors I've just mentioned, could very well be a hit. I'm well-aware that she couldn't sell a song solely off of her name anymore. It's been obvious ever since Work Bitch saw the day of light.
