If ST was released traditionally and had an video anthology released later you wouldn't be praising as much as y'all do. It's incredible and almost on the level of B'Day, but not quite. I adore both though.

I go back and 4th () between Self Titled being her best album and 4 being her best

4 is so good because it's quintessential Beyoncé; it's like her relationship therapy album and she's demonstrated that she knows more about love, loss, and all the elements of being with someone better than any other singer nowadays

but BEYONCÉ is so damn good because it's unlike anything she's ever done, the ****ing nerve she had to have to release something like that, and then the visual story-telling component of the album



she has SUCH big shoes to fill for B6 but if anyone can overcome her own hype, it's Bey

Okay, but nothing on B'Day can compete with Haunted, Mine, Flawless, Partition, Superpower, Jealous or the masterpiece that is No Angel.

Yeah 4, BEYONCÉ and B'Day have all had their time at the peak for me but B'Day is just the best out of all of them for me, just about. They are all amazing though, don't think I'm shading the rest by saying one over the other. It's just preference.

I then think DiL is second to last with IASF being her worst (or rather, least best - it's still a great record just has a lot of filler).

B'Day is just way more consistent than BEYONCÉ, has a bit more grit and is a bit more relatable. I have more fun listening experience with B'Day. It's all personal preference, in a year's time I'll probably call ST my favourite again (well, hopefully B6 but let's not jinx it).

I'd like to see a huge production for the lead single video. A real event. Something along the lines of Bad Blood but not that desperate, just an amazingly shot video with a great central concept that makes people excited when they watch it.

That said, lowkey videos have always worked more in her favour. It depends on the circumstance I guess. As long as she looks good I'm cool.

This is true. Pitchfork pretty much summed up how I feel about the over-rated, B'Day:

"B'Day sounds like an entire album of third and fourth singles"
