I think y'all are confusing Pop songs with urban undertones as R&B. Like "Whats My Name" is hardly an R&B song.. if you listen to the Non Drake version.. its basically a Pop song over an electronic dancehall beat. But because this is America and they are obsessed with putting things into a genre.. its R&B.

Rihanna has R&B or at least urban songs in her discography, but I think her music is way more pop than say... Justin Timberlake. I don't even see him as a leecher at this point. He continues to make R&B/soul music with strong pop edge. That's his thing.
