If it's just one line, I'm fine with it. Like how Mariah did it in WBT with "if you think you're lonely now". I am a little bit hesitant about the fact that your desired sample is in the chorus, which is ultimately the most essential part of most songs, but if you're confident about it, go for it.

Well its still in the concept stage so I think I can probably work around it. Maybe I'll put the line in the bridge or something to reference my inspiration instead.

"Endeavor" and "Forever" came to mind. They aren't full-rhymes, but it's not like every rhyme has to be full. Forever might be a bit cliched, but you could probably make endeavor work.

I swear the OST to the first season of Pokemon could've legit scored some top 10 hits had they bothered to try and promote it as an album. Gotta Catch Em All, Together Forever, 2BA Master, WKAPAY?, and Viridian City could've been some cute hits with radio edits to make them more applicable outside of Pokemon.

My art teacher in high school used to play this movie sometimes when we'd have free periods to work on our projects. I had like no idea about the Beatles until then and for some reason, it just stuck with me so much. I remember this scene and its immense impact on me. I'm not actually gay but idk just seeing the scene made me think of the struggle especially in high school environments and I felt for her. I wanted to write something along those lines, like a silent admiration for someone you "can't have".
