How did Pharrell beat Beyoncé for Top R&B Album and Artist when her tour grossed over $200M and her album sold 4x what his album did?

Bad Blood was cute. This really was the Taylor show this year.
Nick Jonas had the best performance of the night  I'm kinda tired of hearing Chains so I'm glad he did Jealous.
Mariah did so well.
Charlie Puth slayed
Britney and Iggy were a mess, it was fun tho.
Nicki did amazing.
Poor Kendall and Kylie, they didn't deserve the boos. Kanye's performance being complete silence from the censoring. 
Chrissy Teigen was actually a pretty good host. Queen!

Do y'all not what a tracking period is?
March 2014 - March 2015.
Beyonce's album sold under 400K in that period (it already reached 2M by then, and hasn't hit 2.4M yet to date).
Pharrell's album was released March, therefore it had the entire period. It sold 600-650K to date.
Lorde's album sold under 600K through the period. Not including April to May took away 2 months of UF!'s sales which put it around 5M, I'm guessing AATB barely clipped it since it had the advantage of all it's sales tracked and has sold over 5M.
