I cannot stand Taemin's voice, nor Minho's. Basically if SHINee songs consisted of Key, Jonghyun, and Onew I would listen to them more frequently.

I'm still heartbroken the music from the teasers turned out to be nothing. It was probably from all those other tracks that weren't deemed "good enough" for the album when they're the exact ones that would have made it a creative and unique masterpiece.

Each song gets better for me on each listen. I can't pick a trinity. I'm just so happy my faves are back.

After running through Odd a few times, I'm really pleased. View is great, as expected, and the entire first half of the album is really strong. After that it drops off a little (the ballads are both really subpar for SHINee, I'm a little surprised) but it's good to hear them going back to their RnB roots a little. It's not my favorite sound but I can appreciate it on them.

Ode to You almost went somewhere but then it didn't, and Encore is just generic OST material from the beginning. They're both elevated slightly just because it's SHINee and neither is bad per say, they're just boring and pale significantly in comparison to SHINee's other ballads (Arrows, The Distance Between Us, Sleepless Night, etc.) which are all much better.

My verdict as of now is like...solid 8/10.

I agree Encore is a weak ballad for SHINee, but An Ode to You has a really cute Owl City thing going on that I really appreciate since I really love him.

I love the record so much though. The whole record is a punch up to track 6. Then despite slowing down a little, it's picks up from Alive through to Woof Woof. AND they'll probably get a repack since almost all of SM's LP's get them and D&E got one already and EXO are in the process.
