Yeah, it really depends I guess. I'd probably say "mem-o-ry" and "ev-ry-where" in common speech, so it'd be three and three for me. But I can also see "mem-ry" and "ev-e-ry-where".

Honestly, I say "memory" with 3 syllables and same with "everywhere." Although, I think whichever syllable quantity you had in mind while writing will most likely come across

MAYA is my favorite and always will be.

Kala has always been my least favorite though.
