Lemme stan a bit more for Mariah. It was so hard for me not to write a song similar to one of her melodies all season.
But thanks for taking time to review my (and everyone else's) song.
I tried to do something I wasn't comfortable fully knowing I had immunity and I'd be safe. But I still wanted to deliver something quality. And according to a few judges I missed the mark. I would agree, honestly. It was way too clichéd and sounds like 1000s of songs already out there. I guess that was the direction I was going to though but it just doesn't fit this contest.
Wait how did Tymps not give Sam advice? He clearly stated when writing a story telling song do more showing (allude to things, use metaphors and emotions) and less telling (plain flat out saying what's going on). And the review wasn't even THAT negative like chill for a second
