I don't know if upbeat lyrics are my thing or I don't know if those particular set of lyrics are my thing but I deff didn't want a to be a one genre lyricist. I just wanna expand my horizons and improve my versatility.

I'll tell you what my problem was. Reading the song, you didn't convince me. Like the use of the word "wack" which noone uses anymore and how you resorted to a lot of cliches ("twerking" -which is also kind of 2013- , turning the **** up etc). That's what most songwriters do when they deal with a topic they're not 100% comfortable with or aware of. It wasn't a bad entry, but I got 33-year old sophisticated former hipster trying to write a song to impress his hip hop loving nephew. I'm not saying that to insult you, I'm just trying to get more specific about what I didn't like so that I can help you
