Well I mean obviously they're a bunch of testosterone thirsting beasts, but I mean in particular when people seek out and will only accept you for being like a typical "straight" guy, and that's where all of their attraction/obsession stems from.
Like, for instance, black guys are fetishized by people in the gay community due to one of their stereotypes. (Which it really is sad that liking black guys is either a fetish in the gay community, or it doesn't happen at all.
