Carrie 1976 has AMAZING performances by Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie and the blood dump scene, the closet scene, and the period scenes are flawless but the movie is a mess, dated, and too cheesy. 2013 adds more character development, has a better pace and flow, and some of the actors in that movie top the actors from 1976.
Yeah, I recently watched the last maybe 20 minutes of Martyrs just because I wanted to see what all of the hype was about... Damn. Just from the last few minutes I watched, and my basic understanding of the plot as a whole from reading about it online.... Damn. That end.
