I'm still working on the entries and haven't read through any hints yet but generally as long as the words fit your song you should be fine. If you already have a more accessible simpler style it wouldn't make sense for you to use flowery words. If your style is more ornate, than obviously you are going to use fancier words and make them work with you. Make the best song that you are comfortable with and it will show in my opinion.

This is SO reassuring. My default language isn't that colorful but I make it work with my execution of the words I do use and concepts. I'm trying to use more vivid language each week (which I think slowly but surely I'm getting there) but my style is more direct.
Can't wait for the reviews this week either way
I think I improved a lot and that's all I wanted
at least I did the 50-50 in my head that time
