Pretty Girls has good verses, an AMAZING prechorus and the chorus is actually there with a discernible hook. The production thrives mostly off of the little bells in the chorus and the bridge, but the beat is basic.
The way I look at it, Britney's latest singles trajectory basically consists of rehashing previous hit songs. Work Bitch was S&S rehash, Perfume was a Diamonds rehash and Pretty Girls is a Fancy rehash. That's her problem. Her last rehash before those was TTWE being a Blow-lite but that worked out cuz it was better than the actual song it was rehashed from, can't really say the same for the others.

I really fail to see Work Bitch as a rehash of any song, tbh. It is miles ahead of Pretty Girls and that's for sure...
Perfume is just a terribly bad song.
During FF she was still, somewhat, seen as a trendsetter in the electro-dance influence on pop music, so no matter how rehashed her releases, they would be praised...
Her team insisting in the dying dance trend and her obviously not giving two Fs about her career or the music she puts out, leaves us with messes like this.
