Blur is one of Britney's songs that captures you for a moment, it makes you freeze.. You think Jive cares about what fans want now? They're going with the obvious smashes, and what I mean by smashes, not charting hits. I mean songs that people had never seen Britney put out. Radar is Toxic, and I believe Jive wants to prove that Toxic Britney is still in there. I understand why many people don't like Unusual You, Blur, and Mannequin. But that's only because they're different, stuff Britney has never had a chance to do - And now that she has done it, fans bitch, and want Slave Britney to come back.
Basically, they want to surprise non-fans. And that can never happen with OFU, obviously. It's either they're going to bring Toxic Britney back (which is what's happening), or release a single everyone'd be shocked to hear it and believe it's Britney.
Without any general promotion to spark digital downloads, I can see it peaking in the Top 30, maybe higher Top 40. The video is going to have to be really really good to do even that, and hopefully it can get some Rhythmic play like "Toxic". I'm so excited for the video. ^_^
But it's already apparent Jive doesn't care how it does. The focus is the tour right now.
I had always thought that was one of their favorites. Oh well. We must hope for a 5th single, but they usually stop after 4 singles and move on to another album. But maybe since the tour is expected to keep going into the Fall they will do one more single, hopefully a slower song.
