Nah, you don't need to go that far. Noone's that cutthroat about it. If you miscount one syllable or sth, I'm not gonna give you a 0.

But there was an entry last week (won't name it, the contestant was eliminated) where the syllables in the verse had the following count :

Quick question for the judges; for repeated sections like the pre-chorus and chorus, would you prefer them to be rewritten out each time or would a simple (Chorus) indicator be fine, noting the reader to go back up to read it if they wished? I feel like having the full song helps the flow of the song better, but maybe the other option is easier to judge...

My opinion (not speaking for any of the other judges) :

I find it extremely annoying when a section is rewritten. If it's the exact same thing, word by word, save me some time and scrolling down energy and write "chorus" or whatever. That would also make the song look prettier and more readable in terms of formatting and presentation

BUT I WOULD NEVER TAKE OFF ANY POINTS FOR SOMEONE REWRITING SOMETHING!!!. I find it pointless, but I don't forbid it nor do I think it's wrong.

Thanks. I was leaning more towards not rewriting the repeated sections but I just wanted to make sure if either way was preferred.

Not really, I still managed to get 3 Top 3's after that. Plus we all know why that happened, I was travelling around the world and didn't have much time to commit to PH, and I still managed to do decently each week. It's fine. I ended up writing a song in the finale about my entire PH experience (Easy 2.0) and it ended up winning that part of the finale by a landslide.
