Essentially there are over 140 something pop stations in the U.S.
Songs go for adds to be played on the radio.
The spins, audience impressions etc. are used as part of the methodology for the billboard hot 100 chart ranking the top 100 songs in the country per week.
Britney has around 37 pop adds so far from two days...the hope is that throughout the week she will get many more till the point that she's played on almost all pop stations.
However, they would need to add her via
1) radio stations preference
2) payola
3) requests from the public
