Ciara is her best album imo. Its top notch R&B with just the right touch of pop. I like her doing that sound more.

Nooo that makes me so sad I haven't heard Jackie yet cause I was afraid Ciara might be better. I like DLWML a lot but I'm waiting til the weekend to dive into the album.

My song's concept is basically this: It talks about meeting someone at a club but acknowledging nothing serious and long-term will come of that.

Ciara was the perfect album for her. And the title was perfect cause that album represented every aspect of her artistry.

The self-titled could have been the perfect era. Body Party smashed, Overdose would have smashed, Livin It Up would have been a hit and Sophomore / Where You Go / Read My Lips would have been cute urban hits. I wish she had delivered Ciara 2.0 tbh

I switched at the last minute lmfao I realized the disco ball was a trap for me.

I chose something more artistic (Clouds). So my fingers and toes will be crossed all week. I sent my song last night the song just hit me and I had to run with it.

Body Party, DUI, Overdose, Livin' It Up, and maybe Where You Go should have all been singles. With the right promotion it could have been a really strong comeback era for her

Promise is still my fave song of hers but I definitely prefer the more mature Ciara to her earlier albums. She has a nearly flawless singles run though.

Urban fans (or at least most of them) don't like Jackie. I'm an r&b person mostly, so...yeah.

But I can appreciate a pop gem. If her pop tracks were top notch, I'd bop to them and be ok with the album. The only solid pop songs on the album are Kiss & Tell, DLWML, One Woman Army and Give Me Love. And then Stuck On You and I Bet are good urban tracks. The rest is a disaster (for me)

Your concept is fine for the disco ball. It's not the first thing that springs to mind while seeing a disco ball, but it's not a stretch either.
