I like the new server idea. Joe is the best.

ATRL has been rather pathetic also, recently. Most of the new members just complain, and they all have a crazy idea that there is only one queen and or king in the world. (There are some old members that are like that too, guys, GROW UP)

EG: I want to see Britney's new video so much!

RESPONSE: You wanna see that **** when you can watch Bee's new video?!

New server. When the site goes down all the time, people give up and stop coming to ATRL, which makes everything dead when the site is actually up. But the word is, Joe has purchased a new server that will be able to handle all the traffic we can throw at it, or at least a lot more than our current one.

Plain and simple, Joe is the best webmaster you all could ever ask for, so you better appreciate what he does. He has to install stuff on the new server and it should be ready by the end of June or so, if I remember correctly.

The Lounge. Man, this place is pathetic. The bottom of page #1 still has posts from 11 days ago, geez! I feel like doing something radical, like creating a new general chatter area that combines what we now know as The Lounge and Blogs. It would be less organized, I guess, but there would be way more activity in just one place instead of two.

Live chat. We should really look into Mazen's suggestion of adding the Live Topic plugin feature, so we could chat in more-or-less real time on ATRL, or hook up a live chat that we'd do once a week or something, just to get people talking. Perhaps the ATRL Twitter account could also be used for something more interesting.

BUT i think that the live chat would cause members to post even less frequently :-/
&& If its once a week... one of two things (or both) are going to happen:

it might flop because everyone is on diff times of the day and has different schedules....

things are going to go on in there and people will refer to them later on on the boards and the people that weren't there are going to be clueless as to what people are talking about the day after or whatever because they missed out.


ALSO i think combining the blogs and lounge would be way too hectic and crazy. PLUS blogs are a private area for members only.... are yo going to make the lounge private to0 then? THat might really decrease the page views ATRL gets everyday....

I dont think that it is ATRL's fault that people are posting less... i think its the quality of alot of the newer members... or maybe its just the economy
