The album rollout is different than during previous eras (3 singles before the album), but none of the singles are promo/buzz. A promo/buzz single (ex: Taylor's "Welcome To New York") is never sent to radios nor released on iTunes (individually).
I get why people may not like it that she's still in the studio given how long we've been waiting for the album, but that means nothing with Rih, as it has been said several times here, as she has finished albums close to the release date in the past.
Yup and the iTunes position is definitely worrisome. I don't see Pop raido taking AO to the Top10 if it keeps doing like that on iTunes There's not that direct of a correlation between iTunes and radio, though, but it could affect its radio performance.
The radio won't keep supporting the song if the overall interest is not there.
The sales are lacking, and the streams are not amazing either, I believe. If the increasing airplay doesn't correlate to higher demand, it's pretty much the end of the road for AO2.

The streams are decent, could be better, but at least it's staying consistent on Spotify, but I definitely agree with you. Let's see...

AO is 17th most streamed song WW atm; 1,1M daily plays which is more than decent given the circumstances. The single was released just 2 weeks ago, if she performs it on SNL sales will increase......but it will need more promo, it all depends on Rih at this point...
All she really had to do was release a dance bop as the lead single. What's wrong with her?
She has done enough dance songs....I'm glad she experiments with new sounds. She said it herself she wanted to express herself creatively with no boundaries this time, charts are clearly not her priority.

I didn't really mean a club song. Just something everyone could dance to. There are still plenty of ways to make a creative bop. Honestly, that's the biggest crossover there is. Everyone loves a song that makes them feel good, regardless of geographic location, race, age, etc. It's exactly what she needed to start this era.
