One of the Ci stans is probably better informed but I know this: originally "Ciara" was called "One Woman Army" and obviously OWA was the title-track. For some reason she didn't put it on Ciara and saved it for this album.

If I remember right, because of all the pushbacks and her new relationship with Future at that time, she changed the album up because certain songs didn't connected anymore with the phase she was in, in her life,

Songs like Sorry and One Woman Army refered more to seperation and independance, while she was heading into a state of new found love, so the album direction changed partly.

One Woman Army was the original title for her 5th album.
This was back when Sweat, Sorry, and Got Me Good were all on the album but then after all of them flopped/got cancelled they shelved the entire project.
Then in 2013 she met Future and they started work on what would become the self titled album.
One Woman Army was dropped as the title along with a lot of the songs because she was in a whole new mindset after she "fell in love".
Jump to late 2014: Her and Future are done, she starts work on a revamped 6th album without Future.
She decided to include the song because it fits with what she's going through right now (being a single mom).

Sorry should've been put on this album in that case, it still keeps me awake at night knowing that perfect song flopped.
