I'm pretty curious about the direction this album will take. Do we know of any producers/writers yet besides this Boots character?
It feels like 4 was a summation of all her past influences, with 70s/80s r&b as well as some 90s flavor. Thyen Beyonce was a step into the future with her experimenting. IASF was also smack dab in the middle with her solidifying her place in contemporary r&b/hip hop/pop. B6 could go anywhere. I kinda hope after her past few years of total success/media omnipresence she stops caring about sales at all and does something truly wild and experimental. It seems like we've gotten hints of that with her learning to play the piano, revisiting rapping on Feelin Myself and eschewing traditional melody/chorus structure with 7/11.
It might not be a huge success like she's always gotten but she could definitely solidify her credibility as an artist and not just a good singer. She has nothing to lose. I'm here for her doing something really avant garde and non-conforming like David Bowie's Berlin Trilogy.
Plus if it's a Tidal exclusive she could probably save face in front of any "flop" claims
