I guess I'll have to deal with my bluetooth speaker then. They're pretty good and did cost around $60... I do want some quality headphones though, the on-ear ones...
If you don't listen to high quality/lossless/Hi-Fi/Ogg Vorbis -q8/FLAC music, there isn't really a need to buy expensive headphones, anyway. Normal earbuds work just fine with AAC (lossy) and whatever Spotify uses.

I rip all the physical albums I buy and I have all the tracks in .flac. They're about 600 - 700 songs, so it's a shame I won't get to listen to them the way I'm supposed to unless I sell my body multiple times to rich strangers

Maybe you'll be able to sell one of your songs, then you'll be able to buy some headphones with the payout and use the royalties for your TIDAL subscription.
