It really does. The verses are by far my favorite parts.

I feel like I can really BOP to those, and that's what the people want. She needs her Uptown Funk, her AATB, etc etc. People don't want vocals and ballads. They want to lean like it's 1980. She gave me that with the verses, but the chorus lacks that.

YES!!!!!!! You get it. I love Mariah but this is not what I needed from her. Literally #B is easily in her top 10 best records for me (maybe even top 5) so I thought we were going to be slayed

But as an album track or adult comtemp geared single from an album this would slay me
