CHALLENGE #2
THE BILLBOARD CHALLENGE
Our game is called PLΔTINUM HIT, so it's only natural to tackle the ultimate source of hits, the Billboard chart.
This week, we'll give you a title to work with. You'll have to write a new, original short song with the same title as a Billboard #1 hit of the last 35 years!
First, you all have to pick ONE number from 1 to 43, since there's 43 of you, by posting your number of choice inside the thread. Each number has been randomly assigned to 2 different songs, which means all of you will get 2 options when you choose your number. You'll have to pick one of the two, also by posting inside the thread!
Then, after you pick one of the two songs, you're going to have to write a song WITH THE SAME TITLE!!! Attention : we don't want you to copy the original song. You'll use the same title but build a whole new song around it, without recycling any of the song's lyrics!
All the titles that were chosen are open, broad and general, so you won't be too restricted.

If none of the two titles you're given works for you, you're allowed to swap with another contestant, but BOTH of you have to request the swapping inside the thread. By agreeing on the trade, you give away BOTH of your song titles and receive BOTH of the other contestant's song titles. You can only swap once, so use the opportunity wisely.
You will submit your song to me via PM. I will then forward the entries to the other 4 judges
