Can we get into Biggie not being a thing until he died tho? Like he was Big L or something. Biggie and Pac's sales were pretty much on par with each other in 1995; arguably more impressive considering Ready To Die did around the same as Me Against The World (both went 2x plat the same year) and had bigger hits but was Big's debut in comparison to Pac's third album. And for hard core hip hop standards at that time, multiple plat albums were massive. Neither one of them were doing Jagged Little Pill numbers, but that wasn't the benchmark for that genre anyhow at that time.
