There were only 4 entries out of 55 that didn't get a negative commentary. That's my style, cause unless I point out even the most (seemingly) unimportant flaws, your round 2 entry will NOT be better than your round 1 entry. I gave all of you great scores and my average for this round is somewhere near 7.2 which is extremely high for an auditions round. The reviews are meant to make you better, not make you pressed.

Out of the two lines he didn't like I still would NEVER change the 1st one because it's flawless in my opinion and others liked it too. But the other line I know 2 judges didn't like (special treatment hihi) and I see it was a bit forced but I'm still fine with it. In the end I know what I did right and wrong myself so that'll be what helps me grow

The first 4 lines of the verse and the final 2 lines before the chorus were some of the highlights of the entire round. Very well written and meaningful without being try-hard

Regarding the syllables... it never appeared to be an issue to me (I can sing it just perfectly) so I guess our pronunciation must be a little different or something. I knew some lines had more syllables so I guess it could be a little confusing but they aren't supposed to be, like, fully sounded out as they would be if you were deliberately counting out the syllables. Let me keep this in mind for next time and contemplate something a little more simple in structure.

This tbh. Like the Candy Queen, I am often willing to let the silly slide and I neglect my verses for that Max Martin chorus. It's gonna be the death of me and I need to focus on working on verses after that quick chorus comes through.

Positive: Thanks! Fun and perfect execution was what I was aiming for in round 1. I figured if I wrote something dark and Lana Del Rey-esque it wouldn't really suit me as a person. You guys know me on the forum and I'm pretty nice and bubbly so I thought this song was the perfect introduction to do that.

Negatives: Understood. I'll try to use a more extensive vocabulary and unique themes if I make it past round 1. It'll be tough but a nice challenge to try and step outside of my top-40 comfort zone
