I'd agree with you, if Britney hadn't lost her status as a dancer.

Legends have that unique trait which sets them apart from their peers. With Britney, it was always her dancing (and sex symbol status, though no one stays a sex symbol forever).

When's the last time Britney was regarded as the best dancer by the GP?

Britney's an icon, easily the biggest of her generation (well, Beyonce actually gives her a run for her money tbh), but no one outside of The Army looks at Britney and thinks, "Legend". Sorry, but I can't agree with that. Britney has impressive digital stats/records. She was also very much relevant in 2011, which was like the digital peak. How can you say she's stagnated ~15 years ago? She's not Jessica Simpson.

She may nor be a Legend, but what she has achieved and accomplished can't be erased by her lazy behavior over the last few years. She's definitely a Pop Culture Icon at the very least.

I was just referring to the names associated with the different generations, like the baby boomers, or generation-x.

Edit: generally speaking, those born between 1985 and 2000 (maybe 05) are regarded as the 'Millenials'. Anyone after that is currently regarded as a 'Digital Native'.

That was the case from her debut album and still till this day.

People have embraced her from mulitiple generations.
I've seen little kids at her shown and even seen 80 yrs olds at her show.
She crosses socio economic status, race, gender, sexuality, generations etc.

I simply don't believe she's earned the title of "Legend". At least not as far as the GP is concerned.

Don't deflect from your major flaw in questioning her reach amongst many generations, races, socioeconomic statues etc.
