Queen Miranda's "I might die when I forget how to breathe" is also a metaphor gone wrong... very very wrong...
That line is so embarrassingly terrible that it makes me love Miranda even more. I just want to give her a hug and pat her on the head while saying "bless your soul"
It depends on everyone's style of writing. Some artists write more insightful, yet unconventional songs and others write a more accessible and straight-forward styled song. Where you would give UF a 2, I'd probably give it an 8-9. Different strokes. That's my only qualm I had about this competition tbh but I'll remember this is supposed to be fun too. For however long I end up playing anyways!

I agree completely: Bjork and Katy Perry write in EXTREMELY different styles, but Hyperballad and Teenage Dream both get 10s. I listen to enough music in different genres that (I think) I know what makes a song GOOD, be it about something super serious or dancing at a club.
The fact that 55 people submitted an entry is a feat in itself
Lemme give you props TT for organizing this thing I don't think I said grats yet! That's a lot of PMs/responding to questions and general attentiveness that you do just cuz you love us
I hope this is as much fun (hosting) for you as it is for us entering.
